Over the years, a tradition started
in the
Ferber Family, a reunion in Valley Lee, Maryland.
Or 'Ferberville' as it has become known, this due
to the high percentage of property owners with
that same last name! The picnics take place just off an
old dirt road in Saint Mary's County, aptly named
Ferber Circle. This is river-front, on the Potomac River
just near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay where
our roots run deep. We gather to celebrate our
family heritage, catch up with 'out of state' relatives
we haven't seen in a while, and welcome any
'new' additions to the family that we haven't
met yet! Always making plenty of time to sit-back,
relax, and chat reminiscing about our past.
...Not to mention eat lots of great food, maybe take a swim,
play some horseshoes, eat some more food, take a boat ride, go
water-skiing, maybe a little game of Wiffle Ball when you get
back,
grab a cold beer, eat some crabs! Then maybe chill out on the
beach
for a while, catch some rays, look for periwinkles... hey, maybe
even throw someone off the pier, then it's back for more
of all that great homemade food and drink.
Whatever happens it seems a good time is had by all!
Below are links to pages that have lists (&
PICTURES SOON!)
of the folks that have attended the Ferber Family Picnics
on the Potomac. Are you one of the lists?
Take a look and see!
